The composite anchor rod is used by drilling a drill hole in the substrate and then cleaning it. After that, a composite anchor cartridge is guided into the hole. Next, a special setting tool is clamped into the drill, insert the anchor rod onto the tool and screwed into the drill hole. The previously introduced cartridge is made of glass and is filled with a mixture of resin, quartz sand and hardness powder. This now bursts when screwing in the anchor rod and fills the cavity in the drill hole. After a short curing time, the rod is therefore firmly connected to the surface.
